No municipal suspension or containment area found. The câmara's AL portal says the concelho has no containment area (the page is undated), and nothing to the contrary was found in the Diário da República or the câmara's 2025-2026 notices. No national or regional suspension applies in Madeira.

Nomad community drives long-term rental demand, which supports purchase prices. No municipal AL restriction found so far. Inventory is thin - strong buyer competition on well-positioned two-bedroom apartments.

Before offering. The price per m² is INE's median for homes sold in the concelho over twelve months, all types together; a given street or building can sit far from it. AL status depends on the current municipal câmara decision under DL 76/2024 - verify via the câmara website before relying on it. Always cross-check with a Portuguese property lawyer.
